Not sure where this post would be relevant, but a while back the keyfob remote broke and I threw it out. I've yet to ressource another one, but it seems almost impossible to find one like the I had. It was the 2 button one and I think somewhere they called it the "egg". Can you use any other keyfob or does it have to be an original?

The egg or partnumber MR238007 is used for the old keyless entry sytem and would be the one for a 97 Galant and it uses a CR2032 battery.

Not sure if the newer ones will pair to the old keyless entry ecu.
I was lucky to find my OEM new one on Ebay in Italy. They are very rare to find new.
